Multimedia Application

Multimedia applications refer to the technology for storing and managing various types of information, such as text, data, audio and video, so as to enable users to communicate with the computer in a real-time manner using multiple senses. The contents displayed and carried by multimedia technology are essentially products of computer technology. The term “media” refers to the carrier that carries and transmits a certain message or substance. Multimedia applications cover five major categories: Sensory media, representation media, presentation media, storage media and transmission media. Multimedia technology digitizes media information such as text, images, audio and video with the help of a computer and integrates it into an interactive interface, thereby enabling the computer to interactively display different media formats.

Interactive projection technology, as a practical application of virtual reality and motion capture technology, upgrades traditional forms of single-media and multimedia communication by leveraging technology. More than just transforming a form of communication, it has also revolutionized the concept of communication, transitioning from the traditional spoon-feeding approach to a focus on satisfying the experience of the recipient. Through fantastic visuals and wonderful motion, it brings the communication message ever closer to the consumers. The content and elements conveyed in the real environment are naturally accepted by the those experiencing the manipulation of virtual images. Such inherent attractiveness can, without doubt, readily engage the minds of consumers, thereby achieving an interactive emotional resonance.

LED electronic display screens integrate microelectronics, computer technology and information processing, and features vibrant colors, wide dynamic range, high brightness, long lifespan, stable and reliable operation, etc. LED display screens have been widely applied in commercial media, cultural performance markets, sports venues, information dissemination, news releases, stock exchanges, etc., so as to satisfy the demands of different environments.

Originally, interpersonal communication was face-to-face, fully immersive, with communication methods including sound, text, expressions, actions, etc., and such communication was immediate and interactive. With the advent of digital communication, as spatial distances increased, ways of communication also began to change. In the era of single media, communication was limited to one of the following: text, graphics, sound, etc. In the multimedia era, communication methods became more diverse, incorporating text, graphics, sound and video, yet people were still constrained. In the era of interactive multimedia, all-round, real-time interaction has been finally realized and widely acclaimed, which is precisely the earliest form of human communication.

Multimedia is ultimately a matter of experience, however, one should never forget that there is always an inexplicable and irresistible magic to new things. However, people are naturally inclined to prefer the new to the old, so content is always an innovative element that should not be overlooked. The content of multimedia innovation is mainly related to images and sound effects.
